Wooden Saya Gyuto [knife Sheath] – 210mm (8.3″)

Saya, a wooden knife sheath protects the knife and its user from damages and injuries. It also keeps the knife sharp and makes it easier to carry around. Its wooden safety pin prevents the knife from falling out. Saya is made of beech wood, a firm yet still soft enough wood, making it more durable and resistant than any leather sheath.

Handmade wooden Saya was custom-made to fit on our ZDP-189 Gyuto knives (Black, Silver and Damascus), but it can also fit on other Gyuto knives measuring from 180 to 210mm (7.1″-8.3″) in length, up to 50mm (2.0″) in width and with a thickness of up to 3.5mm (0.14″).

PS: We made the hole for the safety pin about the same size as the width of the regular wooden chopsticks (you know, those cheap ones you get with your takeaway). In case you lose the safety pin, you can easily shorten the wooden chopstick and use it as a replacement.
