1. Return & Exchange Eligibility

To be eligible for a return or exchange, the item must meet the following criteria:

  • Timeframe: You have 15 days from the date you receive the item to initiate a return or exchange request.
  • Condition: The item must be unused, in its original condition, and returned with all original packaging, accessories, and documentation (e.g., knife box, care instructions, certificates).
  • Proof of Purchase: A valid order number or receipt is required.

2. Non-Returnable Items

In line with the nature of our specialized products and to ensure the safety and integrity of our tools, the following categories are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • Sharpened or Used Knives: Any knife that has been sharpened, used for cutting, or shows signs of wear.
  • Personal Care & Safety Items: This includes Sharpening Stones and Sharpening Accessories that have been unpackaged or used, due to hygiene and performance considerations.
  • Custom or Personalized Items: Any product that has been specially ordered or personalized.
  • Gift Cards.

3. Step-by-Step Return & Exchange Process

Follow these steps to initiate a return or exchange:

  2. Provide Details & Reason: Include your order number, the item(s) you wish to return/exchange, and a brief reason for the request. This helps us better serve our community.
  3. Receive Authorization & Instructions: Our team will review your request and, if eligible, provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and detailed return shipping instructions. Returns sent without an RMA number cannot be processed.
  4. Package the Item Securely: Please repack the item in its original, sturdy packaging to prevent any damage in transit. Include all original elements.
  5. Ship the Package: Send the package to our Los Angeles address (provided in your RMA instructions) using a trackable and insured shipping service. You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error (e.g., wrong item shipped).
  6. Inspection & Processing: Once received, our team will inspect the item within 3-5 business days. We will notify you via email about the status of your refund or the shipment of your exchange item.

4. Refund Timeline & Method

Upon approval of your return:

  • Timing: Refunds will be processed within 5-10 business days after we receive and inspect the returned item.
  • Method: The refund will be issued to the original payment method used during purchase (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, or PayPal).
  • Deductions: Please note that original shipping fees are non-refundable. For exchanges, we will cover the standard shipping cost to send the replacement item to you.

*Depending on your financial institution, it may take an additional 3-10 business days for the refund to post to your account.

If you wish to exchange an item for a different model (e.g., exchanging a Gyuto for a Santoku), please indicate this in your initial email. Exchanges are subject to product availability. We will process the exchange once the original item is received and inspected. The shipping time for the new item will follow our standard delivery timelines.

7. Damaged or Incorrect Items

We will arrange a prepaid return label and expedite a replacement or refund at no cost to you. Please include photographs of the packaging and the item in your email.
